4 Ways to Replace Worry With Worship
A couple months ago, a friend of mine told me a story.
He told of a man he greatly respected that while he was going through trials and difficulty decided to not share his heart with worry. Instead, he worshipped. Simply put, the man said, “I don’t worry, I worship.”
I was struck by it.
Convicted by it.
Inspired by it.
You were created to worship. You were not created to worry.
Easier said than done BUT better done than said.
As good as it is to type in the phrase “I don’t worry, I worship”, it’s far better and far more fulfilling to practice the phrase.
4 tips on how you can replace worry with worship:
Notice. One of the most powerful things in life is noticing. Once you notice you’re worrying, make a “praise pivot” and begin to worship.
Make worship the soundtrack of your home. You’ll thank me later.
Build a summer worship playlist. It’s hard to worship and worry at the same time.
Take a risk with your posture. Open you hands. Raise your hands. Fall to your knees.
“Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise” -1 Chronicles 16:23-25
