If God longs to renew your mind, Satan longs to wreak havoc on your mind. We are in a spiritual battle and that battle is often times fought NOT on some distant battlefield. No, it’s fought right between your ears - in your mind!

CS Lewis said it this way: “There is no neutral ground in the universe; every square inch, every split second, is claimed by God and counterclaimed by Satan.”

Paul said it this way: “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Can you think of anything you’ve ever captured by accident?

Awareness is where it begins and here’s what I’m learning - I can’t take anything captive I’m unaware of.

Right now, as you begin your week, ask God to make you aware what thoughts are not from Him. Take 5-10 minutes and listen. Have a pad and pen ready and write down what God says.

The Holy Spirit within will equip you to fight the war around you. Today is a new day; this week is a new week.

“He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” -Zephaniah 3:17
