No one but One
Bethel Music did it again. The song, God I look to you, is on repeat.
In a time when I’ve needed vision, in a season where I’ve become acquainted with the phrase “I don’t know” I am also getting more acquainted with the One who does.
A number of weeks ago I preached a sermon titled: Don’t Waste The Wilderness. In that sermon, I shared a phrase that I’ve come to embrace, that is, No one but One. The direction of the talk came from the theme verse of this Pandemic, a verse I’ve put to memory.
“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
-2 Chronicles 20:12
I was struck with the humility required to utter such a phrase and at the same time struck with the peace comes on the other side of uttering that phrase. I believed then as I believe now that No one but One actually knows what to do so how about we keep our eyes on Him. How about we increase how much and how often we are LOOKING to God.
As the song says:
God I look to You, You're where my help comes from
Give me wisdom, You know just what to do
I hope this song does for your soul what it’s been doing for mine.
Happy Monday!
