Make the Ask

Asking for help is critical! We need to ask all kinds of people for help. We need to ask doctors, Christian Counselors or Therapists for help.  We need to ask friends or our spouse for help.  Last but not least, we need to ask God for help.

Here’s why: anxiety is not only physiological and psychological.  Anxiety is also deeply spiritual

“And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” -Isaiah 9:6-7

The counsel of God is wonderful, so why not ask God for help? When the “what ifs” are weighing us down… when the chest pains come… when we feel frozen… we ask God for help.

Our path forward through managing anxiety and living beyond its crushing weight has a lot to do with “making the ask”. Paul writes “but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” -Philippians 4:6

So...present them to God...right now. Make the ask.

Anxiety is not only physiological and psychological.  Anxiety is also deeply spiritual
